Baby Boot Camp

Today is Day 3 of our stay at Tressilion in Willoughby. We have been here with Molly since Monday morning with the purpose of establishing a routine for Molly as well as giving Sharon and I a bit more of an understanding as to how we as Molly's parents can help her settle into a more restful routine. Oddly enough on our first day here Molly was pretty much the model baby. She slept when she was put down and hardly grizzled throughout the day. Even during her witching hour, which lasts for 4 to 5 hours by the way, didn't happen.

Tuesday was almost as good. The only real exception was that she was inconsolably upset and unsettled after 6pm. Yes the witching hour(s) had returned. The plus of that however was that Molly didn't get as hysterical as she normally does. We kept on reassuring her and resettling her every 20 to 30 minutes until her 10 pm feeding after that she settled down and slept thru until 3:30am. The mothercraft nurses here at Tressilion are wonderful. They took Molly for a 2nd night in a row allowing Sharon and I to get another decent nights sleep. We really needed it an we both feel so much better.

We now have a plan to work with for when we get home to help both Molly and us get the rest that we need while allowing Molly the chance to grow.

Tressilion is a fantastic place and even though we are at the moment halfway through the week, they have really helped us a lot. And speaking as a father I would strongly recommend attending Tressilion with you're partner and child as there is a lot that we as fathers can learn as well.
